Known for his weekly pop-up dinner series (and soon-to-be brick-and-mortar restaurant) we’re thrilled to have played host to Chef Zach Keeshig of Owen Sound’s Naagan on Saturday, May 25 in celebration of Ocean Week Canada. Specializing in unique dishes inspired by his Ojibway culture, Chef Zach Keeshig and Chef Ron McKinlay came together to deliver a one-night-only culinary tribute to Canada, incorporating sustainability stories along the way.

Presented by the Canadian Ocean Literacy Coalition and ELLE Gourmet, guests joined us for an unforgettable evening that included a Champagne reception and tasting menu while meeting with and hearing from several speakers including Ocean Week Canada Ambassador Amanda Horn, Canada’s first water sommelier and hydration expert, Christina Li and Canadian cave diver, photographer and author, Jill Heinerth.

Recognizing the important role the ocean plays in our everyday lives and how local waterways connect us all, guests dined on a six-course menu of Scallops, Steelhead Trout, Lobster Raviolo and White Fish among other meticulously crafted dishes. Together with a selection of exquisite wines from our beverage sponsor Stratus Vineyards, the evening was a delightful collaboration and an incredible culinary journey.

A huge thank you to our guests of honour and everyone who joined us for such a momentous occasion.

Now for a taste of what transpired …
