Earlier this year, we invited Canada’s next generation of cooks, farmers, bakers, winemakers and restaurateurs to answer the question “What does Canadian food mean to you?” We are pleased to announce that we have selected a group of students from Durham College as our grand prize winners! Check out their video submission above and learn about their Canadian food perspective.

The students, whose studies range from baking and pastry to horticulture and farming, will be joining us for dinner in Toronto at our iconic Chef’s Rail. Chefs John Horne and Ron McKinlay will guide the group through an incredible interactive tasting menu experience, complete with cocktail and wine pairings. The students will then spend the night at Le Germain Hotel in downtown Toronto, arranged by our friends at Groupe Germain Hotels.

We’d like to extend a big congratulations to Kristin, Tamara, Khadijah, Emilie, Casey and Ikra, and thank you to everybody who entered our contest!
